Busy, busy, busy!

Well, the last few weeks we have been busy getting everything in before we head back to school. This summer went so quickly for both. Ryan was busy working as a "handyman" with two new teacher friends on a house in Glendale. They finished up last week, so Ryan finally had a week at home to work on our bathroom. This week he put in the lights, the waterlines, and the drywall. The next step is the create the shower floor (pan).

Besides working on the bathroom, I have been busy running last minute errands, cleaning the house from top to bottom, organizing and reorganizing just about everything in our house, mowing the law, and babysitting Graham. Since Graham is starting to talk, my goal was for him to say "Jen" by the end of the summer, since he knows who I am. This past Tuesday, he said "en", which is close enough for me! I was THRILLED! We had such a great time playing, reading, walking, playing hide and seek, and doing somersaults! What a special boy he is! I absolutely love that I was able to spend quality time with him one day a week this summer! What a true blessing!

What a sweet boy!

Well, school starts for me tomorrow! We have meetings and work days this week and then kids come September 4th! This time of the year always brings such a mix of emotions. I am anxious and excited for the new school year to come, yet I wish summer was a few weeks longer. I am always amazed at how fast the summer goes. I guess that is what happens when you are booked solid every weekend of the summer. This summer was the first summer I didn't think about school too much. I was able to relax and enjoy my time off. However, now that school starts in a week, I feel VERY stressed and anxious that I won't get everything done before the big day. I know that everything will turn out just fine, as it always does, but my perfectionism starts to take toll on me. Let the sleepless nights begin!
