On my way to work yesterday I was listening to the radio DJs talk about kids who put their pjs on inside out and a spoon under their pillow in hopes of a snow day. I had never heard this before, but thought it would be fun to inform my class about it. So we decided we would do an experiment and all try it. Some weren't going to tell their parents, others were. The funny thing is that Ryan and I tried it last night in hopes of a snow day today....and sure enough...A SNOW DAY!!!!!
We have gotten more than 12 inches of blowing and drifting snow today. It seems like everything in the Milwaukee area has closed down for the day. There are over 900 buisnesses and schools closed today, even the malls and some restaurants are closed. YIKES!
Our snow day hasn't been very relaxing, as we have been out to clear the driveway twice and plan to at least once more time this evening. We were planning to go snowshoeing, however the blowing snow would not have made it very pleasant. The snow is supposed to stop tonight, so I am sure school will be back on tomorrow.
