4th of July

This year for the 4th of July we had not only celebrated our 4th Anniversary, but we celebrated the weekend with some good friends. Sarah, Ken, Jess, Kevin, and Kristy came up from The Cities to join us for a weekend of fun. Luckily we had gorgeous weather, as most of our planned activities were outdoors.

We started off the weekend on Wednesday as we went down to Summerfest ( for the second time - Ryan and I saw Rascal Flatts on Monday - AMAZING concert!) to see a Cities favorite GB Leighton. Ryan and I consider ourselves groupies. The weather didn't cooperate with us that evening. It poured and was very chilly. Luckily, GB was playing at the only stage that was covered. After the concert, GB was hanging out and saying hi to his fans. Obviously Sarah and I had to get a picture with him.

On Friday, we all went to the Brewer game. What a perfect day for a ball game. We arrived at Miller Park at 10:00 for the 1:05 game. We ate lots of food, drank lots of drinks, and played hammershlagen! We had great seats in the sun on the third base line and had a fantastic day! We came home, played yard games, grilled pizzas for dinner, and ended the evening with a whopping "Bomb" fire (that's what Ryan calls it).

On Saturday we slept in, relaxed a little, and then headed down to summerfest mid afternoon. We enjoyed some greasy food, listened to some great music and enjoyed people watching. The boys thought they would test their Nascar abilities. I am proud to say that my hubby was the quickest and was only .02 seconds away from getting on the record board. Way to go Ry!

After an eventful day in the sun, we decided to come back to the house and have another bonfire, but first we decided to have a little Wii Tennis Tournament! As sad as it is, we all worked up a sweat! Very fun!

What a great weekend!
