This year we celebrated Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with the Hoffes in Eau Claire. We had a wonderful time "catching up" with the family. This year we decided to take our time opening presents at the Hoffes. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast, opened some presents, went to Dar's house for delicious dinner and fun gift exchange, and then came home to open more presents. Just when we think we are all done opening the generous amount of presents, Mary and Dave always bring out some "big ticket items". Ryan was pretty excited to get a new air compressor.
Graham enjoyed passing out the presents this year! The football from Nana and Papa was one of his favorite gifts.
After a lovely Christmas at the Hoffes, we headed to MN and had a wonderful Christmas with the Quist Family. Mom prepared a delicious meal, we played a little wii, and then opened presents. We started the gift opening with fun little game that my mom found. She always seems to have something up her sleeve....
The best part of the holidays is to celebrate with the ones you love! It was an emotional Christmas for me, as many people continued to remind us that this was our last Christmas without kids. Though the thought of being a parent is extremely exciting, the world of the unknown is still a little frightening. However, I continue look forward to bringing baby Hoffe into the world in less than a month.
