On Saturday April 18th we decided to head down to Chicago for the day/night. It is much different traveling with a newborn. Thank goodness she likes to ride in the car (most times).
After we checked into our hotel, we made a stop at the Chicago Burger Co. and had a delicious burger. Then we headed to Navy Pier to people watch. We walked Michigan Ave, but didn't stop in too many stores. It was super busy and we found it difficult to merge with a stroller.
Lunch time with daddy
After a long day of walking around, we headed back to the hotel and changed for dinner. We went to a pizza place a few blocks from our hotel. Dinner time is usually Brooklyn's fussy time, so we weren't sure if we were going to be able to dine out. The restaurant we went to allowed us to pre-order, so that when we were sat, the pizza was ready. Fortunately, Brooklyn fell asleep in my arms just before we were sat to eat. It is amazing how dinner time is different with a newborn. We eat a lot faster now. We were back to our hotel by 8:30, but Brooklyn down by 9:30 and were sleeping by 9:45. No clubbing for us this time around...
