Happy Easter!

We had a very eventful Easter weekend. We headed to EC Thursday night and arrived around 11:00. Our 4 hour trip is now a 5.5 - 6 hour trip, with an hour to hour and a half stop in the Dells for Brooklyn to get out, eat, and walk around.
Friday morning the Easter bunny came and brought Brooklyn a cute stuffed animal and this adorable trike. It is a little too big for her right now, but she will grow into it! Thank you Easter Bunny!

On Friday we headed over to Sarah and Kens house to meet their new daughter Sydney. She is a peanut and has lots of hair! It was so good to see all of them.

Kendra, Greg came over so we could meet their new baby Kendall. What a doll! Sydney and Kendall were born two weeks apart and they will be the best of friends, just like their mommies. Brooklyn looked ginormous compared to the two babies.

It was so wonderful seeing the girls. They looked amazing and definitely had a mommy glow to them. I miss them so much! I wish we lived closer, especially now that we all have little girls! We will just have to make an effort to see each other more. Congratulations ladies! I love you!

On Saturday we started the day with a baby shower for Amy at The Bergner's house. Amy was showered with amazing gifts and had a wonderful time. I, on the other hand, was busy keeping my "active" daughter occupied. Her and Jocelyn (Renee's daughter) had a great time playing together. It was fun watching them share, not share, and interact with one another.

After the shower we came home, Brooklyn took a nap, and then we headed to The Quist's house for Daniel's 3rd Birthday party.

Looks like the big kids had just as much fun as the little kids.

Easter Sunday was a beautiful day! We got up, had some delicious breakfast, Brooklyn took a little nap, and then went to church. We haven't gone to church in awhile, due to the time we would go is Brooklyn's morning nap time. We decided to try to put her in the nursery with her friend Jocelyn. I was paged about 20 minutes into the service and was told that she was crying the whole time. So, I spent the service outside, watching through the window and cuddling with my sad daughter. She got a cold Friday night and it seemed to get worse as the weekend went on. She has an eye tooth that is about to pop through, I like to blame it all on the tooth. She was very clingy and just not herself. After church, we came back to Grammy and Grandpa's and had a little egg hunt. Brooklyn and Daniel had a blast. Brooklyn did really well. She picked up the eggs and put them in the little bucket that Easter Bunny Quist gave her (along with other sand toys, which we can't wait to use this summer).

After a very eventful weekend, we decided to make our way back to our house Sunday night. Brooklyn slept lots and was a great rider (she didn't sleep much Saturday night - which is very unusual for her). We stopped in Mauston to eat and change her into her jammies. We got home around 10:00 and put her right to bed!

Thank you to everyone for a wonderful weekend!
