Hoffe Family Fun: A trip to MN

Last weekend Emmett and I made a trip to MN to visit my family and so I could hang out with my friends from college. My good friends Kendra and Greg and their beautiful daughter Kendall are moving to Arizona this week, so they had a little "see you soon" get together. Emmett and I traveled up with my friends Jess and Kevin (from Madison). Thankfully Emmett slept the entire time! We met the girls for lunch at the Wild Onion in St. Paul, then headed to my parents for a few hours, and then I was off for the get together with my friends. First time being completely kid less in a long time. It was so wonderful spending time with good friends.

Emmett and I had a one way flight home on Wednesday evening. I was a little nervous, but I had lots of good advice from some friends. The security check went well. Everyone around me was so thoughtful and considerate, which I was very thankful for. Emmett fell asleep after I had to take him out of the stroller to go through security and he slept the entire flight. I was all prepared to nurse him going up and coming down, but didn't have to. I did worry about his ears, but apparently the altitude didn't bother him. He woke up once we got our luggage from the baggage claim. What a trouper! There was a grandfather of 2 sitting next to me who was very helpful and told me his life story. It is so nice to be looked after by complete strangers. The view from outside my window seat. While we were at my parents house my mom had off Monday and took off Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon. She had lots of cuddling time.

On Sunday night, Mike and Katie, Nate, Jen, Daniel, and Andrea, and my cousins Greg and Joel came over to my parents house for Katie's birthday celebration dinner. It was nice to see everyone.
