On Saturday, April 16th we headed to the Wisconsin Dells for our first family mini-vacation. We met our friends Sarah, Ken, Sydney and Sarah's parents Jane and Ben for a day and evening full of fun. We stayed at the Polynesian Resort and Hotel. We were told that it was good for toddlers. It wasn't the most fancy place, but it was perfect for what we wanted. I don't think we would go back there. Next we will go bigger and better.
(Sorry the pictures are in the wrong order...I couldn't seem to fix them)
Here is Brooklyn on Sunday, after a fun trip to the water park. She is sporting her new sunglasses and "summer hat" as she calls it.

SO exhausted...

On Saturday night we were able to hit the town while Jane and Ben watched our little ones in the hotel room. It was nice to have some adult time.
Kevin, Ken, and Ryan (no Ryan is not that short...he was squatting down)

For dinner on Saturday night we headed to Buffalo
Phils, one of our favorite places. I didn't get any pics besides this cute one of Emmett.

Brooklyn LOVED playing in the water. We gave her some plastic cups and she was set!

Jane and Sydney

Filling the cups and pouring water was a huge hit...who needs
water slides!

The best thing was the Johnny Jump Ups in the water. Emmett had a blast jumping and swing in the water.

Brooklyn loved jumping in the water as well. She kept singing "five little monkeys jumping on the bed" while she jumped.

Practicing her back float in the hot tub

The warm water in the hot tub was a hit

Brooklyn enjoyed the lazy river. She liked the dark part with the pirates.

Emmett spent the first few hours of the
water park fun resting in his
car seat.

Brooklyn was SO excited to go swimming. She kept talking about the waterfalls,
water slides, and the
water park.

We had a great weekend. Brooklyn told us that she can't wait to go to a
water park again. Looks like it was a hit!
