On Thursday, November 24th we celebrated our little boy's 1st birthday! (sniff, sniff) I can't believe he is a year already! Where did the year go?
Thursday was a busy day, as it was also Thanksgiving. We were fortunate to have my mom, dad, sister Katie and Mike come Wednesday evening to be with us for the whole weekend (the rest of my family came on Friday). We celebrate Emmett's birthday for the majority of the day at home. He opened a few presents, ate his first little piece of cake, and we spent some quality time playing with him. Later that day we went to Jason and Holly's house for a wonderful Thanksgiving feast! What a special day for a special boy!

About of little one year old...
*very busy
*says a few words, but not many
*points to everything.
*loves to play in the kitchen area
*puts things in and out of everything
*tries to let us know what he wants by pointing and grunting. Hoping words will start coming soon.
*taking a few steps at a time on own.
*he has 7 teeth (4 on top and 3 on bottom)
*he is a good eater, but is starting to get picky. He says "all done" and shakes his hands when he is done, or he starts throwing food all over the floor. He is a very messy eater.
*LOVES Brooklyn. He wrestles with her, hugs her, pulls her hair, chases her, etc...
*ticklish under his chin and under his arms. Giggles a lot.
*does not like to have things taken away
*a constant learning machine
*can't sit still
*loves to be held and cuddled
*drinks milk really well - no more bottles!
*takes two 1.5 hour naps a day and sleeps 11-12 hours at night.
Happy 1st Birthday Emmett! We are so proud of you! We love you so much!
