They say that women in their ninth month begin "nesting", whatever that really means. I think I have been nesting this whole pregnancy, but I guess you could call my cleaning, organizing, and list-making frenzy this weekend nesting. I installed the car seat in the car, washed more baby clothes, finished packing our hospital bag, packed the diaper bags, and organized the closets (again). I am sure there are plenty of things that I have forgotten to do, but I think we good for now.
I also think that fathers to be do a little nesting of their own before the baby is born. My husband decided to tear apart our guest bathroom this weekend. I mean why not...the baby could come anytime, we will have guests visiting who will need a bathroom, and we have plenty of extra spending money after redoing our kitchen...just kidding honey! Our plan was to tile the floor and put the old vanity back in, but plans changed a little. Ryan tiled the bathroom this weekend and we are in the process of looking for a vanity. Ryan really wants to make one, but I continue to politely remind him that he may not have time to make a vanity. I will keep you posted.
Besides all this nesting, Ryan and I decided to make it a date weekend. On Friday night we headed out to eat at one of my favorite places - The Olive Garden, however we weren't about to wait 80 minutes, so we ended up enjoying a yummy meal at Louises (a second favorite). Then on Saturday night we went to the Majestic Theater in Brookfield and watched a movie at the Palladium. This is a theater that you can eat and watch a movie at the same time. We had never been there before, but heard good things about it. We had a bunch of gift cards to use, so we thought we would make the most of it. The seats are more like office chairs and you sit at a little table. Very fun! We had spinach and artichoke dip and a delicious greasy pizza. Ryan enjoyed a few beers and I splurged and had a diet coke. :) We watched Revolutionary Road, which was a very odd movie..not one that I would watch again, but the whole experience was a blast!
