Ryan and I are thrilled to announce the arrival of our very beautiful daughter
Brooklyn Renee Hoffe
She arrived Monday, February 2nd at 8:19 pm. She weighed in at 6 lbs 3 oz and measured 19 1/2 inches long. She has a fair amount of blonde hair and looks absolutely perfect (or so we think so). We couldn't believe our ears when the doctor said that we have a girl!!!!! We (more myself) really thought we were having a boy. I now don't believe in any of those wives tales. They were ALL wrong about us.
I feel very blessed to have the kind of delivery I had. I went into the hospital Monday morning thinking my water was leaking. Sure enough ... 13 hours later it was all said and done. Even though I progressed slowly, the end was very quick. I do have to admit, I give all the credit in the world to those who choose to deliver without any medication. I couldn't have done it without it!
We came home from the hospital today. My parents were here to help us settle in. My Mom and dad were so nice to make us lunch and make a quick Target run for some essentials. They left us around 4:00 and now we are on our own.
So far Brooklyn seems to be a very good baby. The only time she has really cried is when we put her in the car seat. We'll see how long this lasts...
I have taken SO many pictures, but here are just a few to capture the beauty of our blessing from God! I will try to post as often as I can, but I promised myself that I need to nap when Brooklyn naps, which means some other things may not get done. However, knowing me, we will see how long that lasts.
Proud Grandma and Grandpa Quist
Proud Nana and Papa Hoffe
Enjoying every minute of motherhood - I LOVE CUDDLING!
Brooklyn has already captured Daddy's heart
Graham predicted that Baby Hoffe was a girl, but we decided against the name Triangle. Sorry Graham.
On our way home from the hospital
