Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the beautiful and influential mothers out there. I feel so blessed to be a mom! What a powerful three letter word! Sometimes I still tear up just saying or hearing the word. I can't believe that for the rest of my life I will be a mom! Being a mom is the greatest feeling ever! The best part of being a mom is having a husband and daughter who love me unconditionally and cherish all I do.

My first Mother's Day started with a delicious brunch at the Cheesecake Factory.

We came home, changed into our Brewer gear and headed to yet another Brewer game. Our friends Mike, Sarah, and Madeline got tickets and we were grateful they asked us to join them. Unfortunately the Brewers lost to the Cubs, but it still was a fun game.

For dinner we made Lasagna (my favorite) and garlic bread and then I opened a couple of highly anticipated presents. Ryan had been working in the garage on something for a few weeks. All I knew was that it required sawing, nailing, and screwing....hmmm....I had absolutely NO idea what it could be. It sure wasn't the Neroli Spa gift card I was hinting at.

For Mother's Day my very thoughtful husband made me a special outdoor bench/coffee table. He wrote some very thoughtful, tear jerking words under the bench that meant the world to me. We plan to use it on our patio with our new patio furniture (which we haven't actually bought yet). I also got a new vacuum! I know, I know, a vacuum isn't probably on most mother's wish lists for Mother's Day, but I LOVE IT! I hated our other vacuum and am thrilled to have a new one. The funny thing is that on our way to the Brewer game I actually told Ryan that I would be happy getting an appliance or a vacuum, because I love cooking and cleaning - call me crazy!

Thank you honey for making my first Mother's Day a very memorable one! You and Brooklyn mean the world to me!
