4 Months Old

Happy 4th Month Birthday Brooklyn!

Yesterday we had our 4 month check up....
Weight - 10 lbs 4.2 oz (3rd percentile)

Height - 22 3/4 inches (9th percentile)

Head - 39.1 cm

Dr. Franck still isn't worried about her height and weight. She continues to reiterate that she is a peanut and will always be a peanut. She is healthy and that is all that matters to us! Her shots went as well as they could go. I don't think she cried as hard as she did last time. I still couldn't watch. I just held her tight and nursed her afterwards. She was kinda fussy for the remainder of the day, but that is expected.

Biggest news of the week is that Brooklyn is finally jabbering away. It all started last Monday when we were in MN. My mom was kissing her on the cheek and she made some funny noises. It didn't sound like talking yet. Then she started cooing more later in the week. By the weekend she was talking more and more at a time. Now she is a talking machine. It just melts my heart listening to her talk. I have shed quite a few tears of joy in the past week. I am such a proud mommy!

Now that Brooklyn loves to put everything she touches in her mouth, the monthly picture was a little more difficult to take.

Chatting away...

We felt that we needed a change of pace for Brooklyn, so we got out her jumper/activity center. She is obviously too small for it still, but we thought a little bit at a time won't hurt. She was in awe of this new toy.
