MN Visit

After our trip to Eau Claire for Memorial Day, Brooklyn and I headed to MN to hang out with my family for a week. We had a great time! While we were there Brooklyn started talking!!!!!! Yea!!!!!! We have been waiting for her to find her voice and now she is a talking machine! :)

One of the reason I went to MN for the week was because my mom and aunt were hosting a bridal shower for my cousin on Saturday. So instead of making two long trips, we decided to make it into one. We traveled to Willmar for Angie's shower. I feel awful that I didn't even get a picture of the bride to be...silly me. It was a lovely shower and it was nice to spend the afternoon with family.

Cousin Amanda and Brooklyn
I was really nervous about my drive home on Sunday all by myself, but it went pretty well. Brooklyn and I left right away in the morning, she napped for 3.5 hours. I made if from our house in Apple Valley to the Dells! I was excited that I made it that far. We took a break, I fed Brooklyn, we walked around the outlet mall a little, and then made our way back in the car. Brooklyn cried for the first 15 minutes, but then fell asleep. She slept about an hour and then we hit a bumpy stretch of the road just past Madison, which woke her up. I don't mind if she is awake in the car, it is just that she doesn't always love being in her carseat. We made it to Oconomowoc without any cries, but that is when she had had enough. She fussed for about the first 20 minutes and then a full out cry the last 20 minutes of the ride. However, I would say that overall the trip was very successful!
