9 months old!

Brooklyn is 9 months old!

What a fun age this is! She is learning, growing and changing right before our eyes. We are so proud of our little girl and wish that she would stay like this forever.

New stats:

Weight - 18 lbs (32 percentile) Yipee!

Height - 26 inches (7 percentile)

Head - 44 cm (50 percentile)

Looks like we are moving up in the world! At her 9 month well check appointment she got a clean bill of health and everything looks good. We opted to get her the flu shot, but opted against the H1N1 shot...I was so hesitant on what to do, but my gut told me "no". I sure hope that decision doesn't come back and bite me someday.

A few new things: (I could go on forever, but I will only list a few things)

*Has two teeth (on the bottom) - they came the same week.

*Had her first temperature (102.9 was the highest), first ear infection and first antibiotics.

*Stands for a second on her own (without holding onto anything)

*Says mama and dada. She looks at us and says those words sometimes, so we think she is actually saying them with meaning (that could be just wishful thinking)

*Sits up from a laying down position. She is now starting to sit up in her crib. I wonder how much sleep she actually gets each night?

*Army crawling everywhere and is really quick at it. She gets on her hands and knees and crawls a little, but would much rather army crawl - whatever works for her. (see video)

*Eats just about anything. Recently we tried waffles, strawberries, cauliflower, mac and cheese (ssshhh..don't tell), and chicken. She loves fruits and veggies so we plan to make sure she gets those a lot throughout the day.

*She loves musical toys and loves to dance (or jump).

*She is a very smiley and happy baby, unless she is getting teeth or doesn't feel well.

*She loves going to Miss Anne's and playing with the other girls. She is learning so much from them.
