Busy Weekend

On January 16th I helped throw a double baby shower for two of my good friends (college roomies) in MN. Kendra and Sarah are due two weeks apart in March. I am SO very excited for them! They looked amazing and it was so fun to plan this special day for them.

We had a book shower for the girls. They got a lot of wonderful books and a plethora of fun baby items.

I had the grandmas to be send me some pics of Sarah, Ken, Kendra, and Greg. I used them to help decorate for the shower. They were so fun to look at. I wonder who Baby Putt and Baby McMillan will look like?

I tried my hand at making diaper cakes. I thought they turned out cute! They were so fun to make! The green and brown one was for Kendra (she doesn't know what she is having) and the pink and brown one was for Sarah (she is having a girl).

I had the guests write a special little message for the girls. I plan to make the homemade books into little photo keepsakes for them (Ladies, I am working on finishing them up...you will get them sometime soon).

*****Many of my decorating ideas came from my good friend Marisa! She hosted a beautiful baby shower for myself last January. It was so elegant and perfect. I wanted to create the same feeling for Kedra and Sarah. Thanks Marisa! You are the best! ******

After a busy morning and day at the shower, I had to rush out of there so I could go bridesmaid dress shopping with my sister. We went to the Wedding Shoppe. We found the perfect eggplant summer dress. Sorry, no pics. After dress shopping, I went back to my parents house, put Brooklyn to bed, and then met my roomies and their moms out for dinner. Ryan met my roomies husbands out as well (we separated for the night). What a fun (yet exhausting) day!

The weekend didn't stop there....

Sunday morning we got all packed up and headed to my brother's neck of the woods for Andrea's baptism. The service was lovely and the lunch was fabulous! It was so nice to spend time with family.

Amy and Anthony are Andrea's Godparents. They got some good practice for their little bundle of joy due in June.

For Christmas my mom and dad gave us all vests. We all brought them and took this fun family photo! The Quist Family just keeps on growing! After a fun, yet exhausting weekend, we arrive home around 8:00 Sunday evening. Our 6 hour trip is now 7-8 hrs (with all the Brooklyn stops).

Thank you to everyone for a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful weekend!

I love you all!
