This holiday season we had so much to be thankful for! We feel especially grateful that we have wonderful family and friends to spend the holidays with.

We were extremely blessed this year as we welcome our beautiful daughter Brooklyn Renee Hoffe into the world last February...here I go again...tearing up....seriously, I am the sappiest mom ever! What a year it has been! I remember the day when I wished that Brooklyn was 6 months old and now I wish for that day again. As much as I love the age she is at, I am so sad to think that it has almost been a WHOLE YEAR since she was born! CRAZY!!!!! They (whoever they is) say that they (the kids) grow up so fast! THEY are so right! Before we know it, Brooklyn will be walking, talking, and starting school. Brooklyn, mommy and daddy love you to the moon and back and are extremely proud of you! You make us smile every day and continue to fill our hearts with endless love. (sniff, sniff)

I feel I have been pretty good at documenting things that have happened this past year for Brooklyn, but I know there is so much more I can do. One of my many New Years resolutions this year is to find a way to balance out life (a big undertaking, I know). Being a full time mom, a full time teacher (unfortunately, that is the way it has to be for now), a wife, a friend, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, and so much more, can become difficult. I find myself forgetting lots of things (like paying the bills) or extremely exhausted at the end of the day. I also find myself forgetting to contact the ones I love and forget to make time for myself or my husband. If anyone has a solution as to how to make it all work, I am all ears...
I know my organization fetish will help me figure out this whole balancing life act, but I know it is going to take some time - maybe years.... My goal is to start with baby steps and hope that things get easier.
I am SO looking forward to 2010 and all the wonderful memories it will bring! I wish you all a Happy New Year filled with love, laughter, and endless memories!
You are an AMAZING woman and I admire you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous family picture...and I also love the one of you and Ryan in Chicago. I'm finally catching up on reading blogs...
