I am currently 20 weeks and feeling good. I haven't had a back pain episode since July 1st, so I am keeping my fingers crossed. We had our ultrasound on Tuesday. It was short and sweet. I feel like the last one we had (for Brooklyn) was much longer and more in depth. Maybe different technicians do it different ways. The tech didn't say anything except when she was measuring the legs. We didn't want to look, just in case we saw something. WE DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT WE ARE HAVING! We won't find out the results of the ultrasound until our next doctors appointment, which is on July 27th. I am nervous for that one. I just want to be sure everything looks good with the baby. The tech did say that the heart rate was at 136, but then it showed later that it was at 146. She said that the baby weighs 11 oz. and the measurements show a December 1st due date (that is what I was told in the beginning).

I feel like I am carrying this baby very similar to the last time, but this time it seems so much bigger. I am just starting to wear maternity clothes (bottoms), elastic waist clothes are so much more comfortable! I don't have any cravings besides an occasional bowl of ice cream, but I love to eat fruit. I don't sleep well at night. I seem to get up the same two times every night (1:00 and 4:00) to use the bathroom and then I have a hard time falling back to sleep. I think I have too much on my mind. I have a laundry list of baby things I want to do before August hits and I need to start thinking of school work. We are also in the process of deciding what to do with cribs, furniture, and strollers. If anyone has any suggestions, I am all ears.... Brooklyn and baby #2 will be 22 months apart. We are not ready to put Brooklyn in a big bed yet, yet don't want to buy another crib mattress (we would buy another 3 in 1 crib, but don't want to buy a mattress that we will only use a few months). We know we want to have a full size bed for Brooklyn (which is what the crib will turn into that she has now), but don't think she's ready for a big bed yet. So, I think we may borrow a crib for a few months from some friends, and then buy Brooklyn a cute headboard and dresser. We will use Brooklyn's crib and dresser for the baby. I originally wanted to stay with the espresso finish for both kids, but have seen some really cute girl bedrooms with white furniture. So, I think we are going the white route. So many decisions, and so little time...it is no wonder I don't sleep at night.
