4th of July

We had a very busy 4th of July weekend. It all started Thursday, July 1st when Ryan and I had a babysitter and went out to celebrate our 6th year wedding anniversary. We celebrated a few days early, as we had plans the rest of the weekend. We went to Mo's Steakhouse for a delicious meal and then headed to Rock Bottom Brewery for a beer/water along the river. It was a beautiful night and we made the most of it. (sorry no pics)
On Friday Nana and Papa came down to visit and babysit for Jason and Holly. We went down to Jason's house to visit and help Mary celebrate her birthday.

Happy Birthday Nana!
I got some cuddling time with Estelle. What a sweetheart!
Ryan even got some cuddling time

Papa brought some sparklers for the kids to enjoy. Brooklyn wasn't sure to think right away. She did a wonderful job watching.
As she got more comfortable, she started to inch forward a little more
(but stayed a far enough distance away)
By the end of the night she was cheering for the sparklers

On Saturday, Nana and Papa arrived at our house to watch Brooklyn for the day/night. We headed to our good friends Jess and Kevin's parents place on Castle Rock Lake to hang out with my college roomies.

After arriving at the lake, the girls and guys quickly hit the lake.

Kendra and Greg brought their adorable daughter Kendall to the lake for the weekend. I am so glad they did. I have only seen her once and it was nice to spend some time with her.

Ryan out enjoying the beauty of the lake (even though he got stuck out in the middle 2 times, he enjoyed every minute of it)
The boys got a little boat ride first, and then it was the girls turn
I got some cuddling time with Kendall. What a doll!

We left the lake early Sunday morning, came home, showered and got ready for our friend Juan Carlos's wedding at 2:00 Sunday afternoon. We made it just in the neck of time. We dropped Brooklyn off at Jason's house again, where Nana and Papa watched all three kids (Graham, Estelle and Brooklyn) while all of us went to the wedding. It was a lovely ceremony and a fun reception (which was at Lakefront Brewery). I had my first nonalcoholic beer. It was ok, but I kinda felt guilty drinking it. We picked up Brooklyn and headed home.

On Monday we had yet another babysitter, as we went to the Brewer game with Sarah, Ken, Grandma Jane and Grandpa Ben (Sarah's parents). It was a beautiful day and a great time, even though the Brewers lost. (sorry, no pics)

On Tuesday, we spent the day getting back on schedule and enjoyed being at home!!!!
