Brooklyn was very excited for her birthday to arrive. She thought is was her birthday every day, so we thought we would make a count down until her big day to try to help her understand. Her party wasn't for 2 weeks after her birthday so we made a countdown for the party as well. Every day she was so excited to rip off a chain.
She celebrated her birthday at Miss Anne's on February 1st.

On her birthday, Wednesday, February 2nd, we got hit with a massive snow storm. The whole city seemed to shut down. Lucky for us, because Ryan was able to spend the day with us! We decorate the house with balloons and streamers and wanted to make the day as special as we could, since we would be cooped up in the house all day.
We started the morning by making star shaped pancakes. Her birthday theme (for her party) was Twinkle, Twinkle "Golden" Star (since it was her golden birthday).
We started the morning by singing happy birthday and Brooklyn blew out her two candles.
After breakfast she opened some of her presents.

After her nap we celebrated with cake and ice cream. She loves singing happy birthday, so we sang to her again.
Then it was time to dig ourselves out...
We thought we would try to get out for a special birthday dinner. We made it to Unos. Brooklyn had fun making her own pizza for supper.

Length - 33 1/2 inches
Weight - 27 pounds

Brooklyn Renee Hoffe, I can't even begin to think that two years ago we joyously welcomed you into this world. You have continued to surprise us each and every day with all you know and all you do. You are a true blessing and we thank God each and every day for the beautiful little girl you are. You are so smart. You are talking so much. You use wonderful expression when you talk. You use your manners, ask questions, follow directions (most times), and let us know what you want or need. You love to read books and sing. You have such a caring heart and absolutely love your brother. You are a wonderful big sister and love to give Emmett kisses. We are so proud of you! We love you with all our heart! Happy Birthday Sugar Plum!
