Emmett is 4 months old today...already!
Where did the time go? He looks like such a healthy little boy. He is much bigger than Brooklyn was at this age. We had his 4 month well-check appointment on Monday. Dr. Franck said he looks good. I had lots of questions regarding his fussiness, spitting up, lack of napping, nursing, waking up at night, and supplementing with formula. Dr. Franck always puts my mind at ease. I love that. They (whoever "they" is) say that by 3-4 months the fussiness should diminish. Some days that is the case and other days, not so much. The poor boy... some days I feel so bad for him. Today was one of those days that he cried I would say 80 percent of the day. Nothing seemed to make him feel better. He does have a very runny nose, a cough, and has a never ending cold, which could be the problem. I know his hungry cry and his tired cry, but I still don't know about the rest he had today. Poor boy! As for spitting up, he continues to spit up after each feeding. I am supplementing formula (6 oz) at bedtime, which is currently around 8:30. He is still getting up once a night (this past week he has been getting up twice - that is NOT OK!) We have been letting him cry it out a little longer than we used to when he gets up at night, which is really hard. Brooklyn tends to wake up when he is crying. It is not fun having two kids crying at 2:30 am. Ideally, I would love to work on the crying out thing over the next week and a half when I am home, but it is harder than I remember. Brooklyn slept through the night at 6 weeks, so we didn't have to worry about it.
Emmett's 4 month stats:
Weight - 14 lbs 12 oz (55 percentile)
Length - 25 " (50 percentile)
Head - 42 cm (48 percentile)
Looks like he is doing just great!
Yes, she is wearing undies. We are working on potty training. Today she wore undies (no diaper) for most of the afternoon, after she woke up from her nap. She had a few accidents, which was funny to watch her reaction, but she did a FABULOUS job telling me when she had to go potty. She earns an M&M for her going potty on the potty chair.
