On Thursday this week we headed to the Milwaukee County Zoo for the first time this year. We hope to make the zoo a weekly trip, if not more. Brooklyn was SO excited. After taking this picture, the gorilla was NOT happy with me. He came over to the window and pounded on it. Very scary! Brooklyn LOVED looking at the animals.
Elephants are Brooklyn's favorite. She loved talking about their long trunks. Check out the kids new ride...I finally purchased a double stroller (Sit and Stand). We were given a different one from some friends, but was selfish and wanted my own. It works great now, but will be even better when the kids are a little older.
My first grade friends were on a field trip to the zoo on Thursday as well. It was fun seeing all of them. They were REALLY excited to see me, Brooklyn, and Emmett. We enjoyed lunch with the kids. Brooklyn was excited to be around the big kids.
Jessie (my teammate and good friend) enjoyed a little Emmett time. She was so helpful. I am still trying to figure out this whole two kid thing. I haven't been to too many places with both kids. This was the first time in the double stroller and going to the zoo. It took a little bit to try to figure out all the logistics of everything. I think I managed ok. Emmett was a little fussy, which made it a little difficult. If only he liked sitting in his car seat, we would be good to go. Thankfully Brooklyn was FABULOUS!

The girls LOVED Brooklyn. They were all asking her to say their names. It was so cute! Just think in five years, she will be one of them! That is so sad (and scary) to think about!

The giraffes were Brooklyn's favorite today. She did NOT want to leave them. We had to go back a couple of times to watch them. She told me all about their long necks and long tongues.
