5 Months Old!

Brooklyn turned 5 months old on July 2nd. She wasn't too thrilled about taking her picture that morning. This is the best we got.
5 months sounds so old. No longer do we have a newborn baby, we now have an infant. It is such an exciting time! Brooklyn is so much fun to play with. I don't seem to get much done in a day, but that is ok. I sure enjoying spending time playing with her. I plan to cherish every minute I can with her for the next month and a half until I have to go back to work.

Things Brooklyn can/likes to do...
-Sit up all by herself for a lengthy amount of time
-Rolls from her tummy to her back
-Rolls from her back to her tummy (with a little help)
-Smiles
-Squawk (we think it is her way of laughing...it is such a funny sound)
-Play with her feet
-Put her feet in her mouth and suck on her toes (why do babies do that?)
-Chew/suck on her thumb once in awhile
-Hold things in her hand and bangs them. She blinks every time she bangs the toy.
-Can take her nuk out of her mouth and put it back in.
-Naps well (usually 2 hours in the morning and 2-3 hours in the afternoon)
-Sleeps through the night (usually from 8pm-6:30am)
-Enjoys stroller rides (she loves to sit up and face outward)
-Chatters when she is happy (she makes lots of different noises)
Here are a few pics from the last couple weeks...
Loving those feet
I put shoes on Brooklyn for the first time and she wasn't quite sure what to think of them. She kept rubbing them together and scowling at them. :)

She enjoys standing up

This week we put together her high chair. She sits in it when we are eating. We haven't started solid foods yet, but plan on starting cereal at the end of the month. She seems to like the spoon.
oops, a little too far...

hmm...what is this fun thing
Check out this funny video of her with a bowl for the first time...it looks like we will have to teach her some table manners. :)

Such a big girl sitting up! At first, I had the boppy behind her for protection, but now she can sit up without it!

Look at how much I have changed
