6 Months Old

Emmett is 6 months old and is all boy! This smiling handsome little guy is a mover and a shaker. I knew he was going to be when I was pregnant with him. He is great at sitting up, loves to smile, loves to put everything in his mouth, giggles when kissed under his chin, when we play peek-a-boo, along with many other times.

I think he LOVES the camera. I keep getting great smiling pictures of him. His newest thing is to squeal and wave his arms when he is excited.
Emmett likes to spit, stick his tongue out, blow spit bubbles, and is starting to babble so much more. He is so much fun to play with.

Emmett's first tooth popped through on June 15th. It is on his bottom right. We knew it was coming for awhile. Poor guy.

Emmett likes to get up on all fours (hands and knees) and rock. We are just waiting for the forward motion. He is able to turn him self around when laying on his belly and scootch backwards without a problem.

Other fun facts:

-He is eating cereal twice a day.

-Loves all the food we have tried so far (sweet potatoes, carrots, squash, avocado, banana)

-Sleeping through the night is still hit or miss (UGH!) Most nights he sleeps from 8:00ish to 5:30ish. However there are numerous nights that he will wake anytime between 3:30 or 4:30. We have been letting him cry it out if that lasts for less than 10 minutes. If he keeps crying after 10 minutes or so, I go into survival mode and nurse him (not my first choice) but sleep is a must for me to keep up with both kids all day. Plus, I think this boy is constantly hungry.

-Naps are fairly routine - 1.5 hours in the morning, 1.5-2 hours in the afternoon and an occasional 45 minute night nap around dinner time.
